  • NYSIA Industry and Affiliate member companies are eligible for reimbursement. For membership information, visit our "Become a Member Page".
  • All NYSIA companies are eligible to receive reimbursement per semester, for each intern hired, or up to $1000.
  • Employers are responsible for negotiating intern hours per week, in addition to the salary, which must be a minimum of $12 per hour. Employers may pay more than this, based on the nature of the project, but will only be reimbursed for a maximum of $1000.
  • Internships are for one semester at a time (spring, summer and fall), and can be renewed for additional semesters at the employer's request.
  • Reimbursement is not guaranteed, and is based upon the amount of funds available.
